Addressing a press conference, Gandhi claimed that the police used excessive force to disperse protesters and alleged that pellet guns were used during the operation. He stated that the issue would be raised in Parliament and demanded a detailed explanation from the government.

According to Gandhi, the protest reflects growing frustration among students over concerns related to education, employment opportunities, and examination-related issues. He said these problems require immediate attention rather than forceful action against demonstrators.

The Congress leader also urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to respond to the concerns raised by students and called for accountability if any misuse of force is established. He further demanded an impartial investigation into the incident and appropriate action against those found responsible.

Commenting on the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Gandhi described it as a significant political development and linked it to the ongoing student movement. He also criticised the government’s education policies and called for comprehensive reforms to improve transparency and restore public confidence.

The protests, organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), were centred around allegations of examination irregularities and demands for greater accountability. The movement also gained attention due to climate activist Sonam Wangchuk’s prolonged hunger strike at Jantar Mantar.

The Central Government has not officially responded to all of Gandhi’s allegations at the time of writing. Further developments are expected as the issue is likely to be discussed in Parliament.

Note: The allegations mentioned above are claims made by political leaders. Official investigations and government responses may provide additional details as the situation develops.
